EBF Students Shine at Solo Contest

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont

On Saturday April 9th, Students from Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont High School performed at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest at PCM High School in Monroe. The EBF students earned 8 Division I Ratings and 14 Division II ratings. Those students earning division I ratings (superior) were: Jessie Eveland; vocal solo, Grace Manternach; flute solo, Mika Farnum; alto sax solo, Julia Fairchild & Adlynn Eveland; clarinet duet, Payton Fry, Jessie Eveland, Julia Fairchild, Adlynn Eveland, Mazzi Hanson, Gracie DeLaCruz, and Mika Farnum; clarinet choir, Mazzi Hanson; clarinet solo, Delanee Van Zante; also sax solo, and Sara Loving; trumpet solo.

Students receiving Division II ratings (excellent) were: Mika Farnum; vocal solo, Jessie Eveland; clarinet solo, Grace Manternach, Katie Fisher, & Deserae Simmons; flute trio, Adlynn Eveland; clarinet solo, Deserae Simmons; flute solo, Payton Fry, Julia Fairchild, Adlynn Eveland, and Mika Farnum; clarinet quartet, Katie Fisher flute solo, Gracie DeLaCruz; clarinet solo, Cyrus Rogers; tenor sax solo, Maggie Voyles; French horn solo, Brandon Drew; snare solo, Teri Jo Lane; trumpet solo, and Brandon Dicks; trombone solo.

These students also did a wonderful job and had excellent performances on their events as well: Nolan Stetter; vocal solo, Mika Farnum; bari sax solo, Marina Rupprecht, Gracie DeLaCruz; French horn solo, and Maggie, Voyles, Emma Bunnell, & Teri Jo Lane; French horn trio Directors Joe Overton and Chris Ellerston were very proud of everyone’s performance.
