Scholarships Offered Through Mahaska Health Partnership Hospital Auxiliary

MAHASKA COUNTY – The Mahaska Health Partnership Hospital Auxiliary is offering scholarships to benefit local graduating high school seniors who are pursuing a career in a health-related field.
“Helping foster the next generation of healthcare professionals supports or mission to support MHP,” MHP Hospital Auxiliary President Becke Arnold said. “Many of our volunteers were involved with MHP during their working careers in some capacity; being able to give the youth of our community the same opportunity is our goal with this scholarship.”
The MHP Auxiliary will choose two students who will each be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants must be graduating seniors from North Mahaska or Oskaloosa schools. Individuals must be accepted to an accredited college and be pursuing a career in a health-related field. Completed applications must be received by April 10 to be considered for the scholarship.
While the final decision of all scholarship winners is not based solely on financial need, it may be a determining factor if candidates are equal in other qualifications. Letters of recommendation must accompany each application and personal interviews may be requested for further clarification.
Applications are available through local schools or can be picked up on the MHP campus at entrance #1 or #4. Applicants may also email klangfitt@mahaskahealth.org to have an application sent.
