Maple Syruping Festival
Eveland Access

1:00-4:00 pm

On Saturday, March 19, come out to the Eveland Access area to join the MCCB staff and volunteers to celebrate maple syruping. From 1:00-4:00 pm visitors will learn how to tap trees and boil it down to make maple syrup. You can also explore the black maple sugarbush, the old barn and a Native American Sugaring camp. Bring your appetites because everyone can sample fresh maple syrup on ice cream!

The event will be held at Eveland Access which is located 4 miles south of Beacon on T39 adjacent to the Des Moines River. Look for signs when you arrive to direct you toward parking areas. For more information, contact the Mahaska County Conservation Board at (641)673-9327.
