Night Prairie Burn
Russell Wildlife Area
Saturday, March 12, 2016
6:00 pm

If you think a prairie fire is impressive, then you should see one at night! Come out and see a prescribed burn. You will learn about prairie management techniques and how to safely conduct a burn on your own prairie or CRP acres. All ages are welcome. A short talk about burning prairies will be held in the conservation center at 6:00 pm and the burn will begin shortly after at 6:30 pm.

NOTE: This program may be postponed if conditions are too wet or too windy to burn. Call (641)673-9327 if the weather is questionable. You may also check MCCB’s Facebook page at “Mahaska County Conservation” for burning updates.
