Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary Donates Medical Grade Recliners

Members of the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary are shown in front of one of three medical grade recliners they recently purchased for the MHP Hospice Serenity House, spending a total of $6,510. The chairs have a lot of features ideal for hospice patients, including a pull away side so a patient can be seated into the chair from either direction. It is also made of heavy duty antimicrobial material and is on wheels so patients can easily be moved from room to room and out on the Serenity House decks in nicer weather. Hospice Auxiliary members, from left, are: Janet Farner, Kim Roozeboom, Shari Blattler, Carol Knoot, Connie Sheesley, Becky Shafer and Mary Anderson.
