“We did a re-lamp on the Musco lights, installed a new rail, repaired the cattle panels above the fence at the north end of the basketball court and we also put up the other two figurines on the basketball court” said Eric Stout, working on the project.

MCRF’s executive director, Sherry Vavra stated that MCRF has worked with the skate park users on the first annual competition in 2015 and the 8 foot grind rail came from a request from local users. “The kids are great to work with and we were happy to give them the requested grind rail after the work they helped us with planning a competition.” One day after the install of the new grind rail Kandis [MCRF] took pictures of the rail already in full use!”

Eric Stout has worked on the Urban Park since its development and he, along with John Olson, Theron Mateer and Dave Knox, completed the Urban Park update last week and said that the re-lamp on all of the lights was done to offer a longer life cycle and will require less maintenance.

Vavra added that she stopped by after the install and talked with the youth who expressed that they liked the update and the grind rail.
