Star Wars: The Force Awakes opened on Thursday evening in Oskaloosa. Many moviegoers had positive comments to say about the film.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – A cold winter wind was blowing down 2nd Ave West, but inside Penn Centre Theater the moviegoers were all smiles.

They were there to see the latest installment in the Star Wars saga, ‘The Force Awakens’.

The newest addition to the Star Wars universe brings the story-line back into a more comfortable feel, and the audience reactions during the movie proved that those in attendance felt immersed in the film, something that the prequels often lacked.

After the film finished, Oskaloosa News caught up with three college age individuals and asked them about their take on the movie.

“It was amazing,” said Skylar DeJong.

“It was so great,” added Samantha Sterns.

They all agreed that the film was worth the wait. Many of those seeing the film on Thursday night purchased their tickets days in advance.

“Definitely”, when talking about being ready to see the next installment, “it better come fast.” The next installment, Episode VIII is tentatively scheduled for a 2017 release.
