The 7th grade girl’s were in action again last night. The A team fought hard against rival Pella, but lost a close game that ended with a missed 3 pointer that would have sent the game into overtime 28-25. They learned from there last game, and had a better performance. Their record now is 1-1
Maddie Haines led the way with 8 points. Kaylee Johnson scored 6 points. Jillian Jennings added 5 points. MaKenna Shaffner chipped in 4 points and Lindy Slocum had 2 to round out the scoring.
The B was in action for the first time this season had lost a hard fought game 29-12. There were good things that we saw in the game but it also helped point out what we need to continue to work on.
Lindy Slocum lead the way with 6 points. Paiven Knoot added 4 points and Alexis Sidebottom had 2.
The C was also in action for the first time last night and lost 28-2. This was many of the girls first time playing in a basketball game, but they showed plenty of positives that we were able to take away.
Makayla Covey scored the only points of the night.
Join us for our next game as all three teams will be in action against Grinnell Tuesday December 1st at 4:30 here at home!!
