Judith Ann Beadle, 76, of Oskaloosa, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Judy was born November 29, 1938, at Oskaloosa, the daughter of Hershell and Edith Burns McAdoo.

On December 26, 1958, she married John F. Beadle and together over the next 56 years they raised six children.

Judy’s working career included the old Continental Overall Factory, Pella Rollscreen (retired after 25 years), part time Flea Market dealer and most recently part-time sales associate at Sears in Oskaloosa.

Judy enjoyed going to garage sales, crocheting, puzzle books, trips to Meskwaki Casino and spending time with family.

She will always have a special place in the hearts of her family which includes her husband of over 56 years, John F. Beadle of Oskaloosa; three sons: Robert (& Rowena) Anderson Jr. of Chickasaw, Oklahoma, Terry (& Becky) Anderson of Oskaloosa, and Hershell Beadle of Noble, Oklahoma; three daughters: Marilyn (& Dave) Thomas of Oskaloosa, Sally Beadle of Oskaloosa, and Barbara (& Phillip) Reeves of Des Moines; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren on the way; three brothers: Jerry (& Martha) McAdoo of Marshalltown, Ronnie McAdoo of Kent, Washington, Donnie McAdoo of Chickasaw, Oklahoma; four sisters: Mary Lou Barth of Oskaloosa, Marilyn Patton of Oskaloosa, Phyllis (& Jim) Lang of Oskaloosa, and Wilma (& Harold) Adams of California; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, James Ray Beadle; six brothers: Marvin McAdoo, Jay McAdoo, Jack McAdoo, Ray McAdoo, Ivan McAdoo and Buster McAdoo, and two sisters: Helen Randall and Connie Sue McAdoo.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Jon Nelson officiating.
As was Judy’s wish her body will be cremated following the funeral and burial of the urn will be in the Forest Cemetery at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin Friday after 12 noon in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be present from 6-8 Friday evening to greet friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Disabled American Vets.
