Willa Mae Renwick, 88, of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa. She was born March 9, 1927, in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Cora Gumm Hostetler.

Willa graduated from Jefferson High School. Following graduation she completed beauty school. Willa worked as a beauty operator from the time of her completion of beauty school, until the late 1980’s.

On November 26, 1975, she was united in marriage to James Renwick. James died in 1991.

Willa was a Girl Scout leader when her daughter was a Girl Scout.

Her family includes her daughter, Linda (& Roger) Murray of Ottumwa; four grandchildren: Troy Langford, Veronica Langford, David Murray and Lisa Ridge; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Willard (& Janet) Hostetler of Jefferson; and a sister, Mary Kinney of Kansas City, Missouri.

In addition to her husband, Willa was preceded in death by her son, Jack Langford; two brothers, Paul and Marion Hostetler; and a sister, Pauline Roper.

As was Willa’s wish her body has been cremated and no services are planned. There will be a private family burial at a later date in the Jefferson Cemetery at Jefferson, Iowa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
