Eileen S. Kellow-Balducki, 67, of Oskaloosa, and formerly of Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, November 09, 2015, at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Services Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Eileen Balducki, daughter of Cecil G. and Hazel Isis (Hughes) Kellow, was born November 4, 1948, at Corydon, Iowa.

Eileen was a 1967 graduate of Centerville High School, she later moved to Des Moines where she worked. While in Des Moines, she met her husband, John Balducki, a neighbor in her apartment building. They married June 4, 1977, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They moved to Ohio in 1985 and then to Cedar Rapids in 1987. While in Cedar Rapids, she worked at APAC, a customer service/call center business, and at a temp agency where she was assigned to a number of different positions. After moving to Oskaloosa in 2000, Eileen was employed at Git-n-Go gas station and convenience store. She and her husband, John, purchased the Spinnin Wheels Skating Center in 2004 and operated it until 2007 when they sold it.

In her spare time, Eileen enjoyed sewing and crafts. One of Eileen’s all-time favorite events was watching the Indianapolis 500 races. She was very active at Gateway Church of the Nazarene and particularly enjoyed the fellowship and Bible studies. She was very grateful to her Christian friends for their help and support through her final struggles.

Eileen is survived by her husband, John; her nieces: Jamie Kellow Brewer, Mandy Kay Kellow, Teresa Simons, Nina Simons, and Deb Simons Tillis; her nephews: Rick Buckley and Justin Kellow; and her very dear friend, Joyce Wheeler.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmie E. Kellow; a half-brother, Bill K. Simons; three half-sisters: Gretchen Kellow Mennicerilli Miller, Lelah Kellow Grimm, and Dorothy Kellow Buckley; and three nephews: Richard E. Kellow, Dennis K. Simons, and Terry Wm. Simons.

Funeral Services for Eileen will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 12, at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Doll of the Gateway Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Burial will be in Allerton Cemetery near Corydon, Iowa.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday before the service.
