Danny Bushey, 51, of Beacon, died Saturday, October 31, 2015, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born July 14, 1964, in California, the son of Robert and Doris Clark Bushey.

Danny graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1982. Following graduation he served in the United States Navy on the USS Butte. Following his discharge from the Navy, he stayed on the east coast for a time.

Danny returned to Oskaloosa in 2000, and helped his dad with his lawn care business. He also worked at Red Rock Rubbish driving a garbage truck.

On July 30, 2005, he was united in marriage to Pattie Yarbrough in Oskaloosa.

Danny enjoyed trips to the casino, dancing, playing computer games, watching science fiction and horror movies, and visiting with family and friends.

His family includes his wife of over 10 years, Pattie Yarbrough-Bushey of Beacon; his father, Robert Bushey of Hulbert, Michigan; three step children: Dunstan Ledford of Oskaloosa, Charles Ledford of Texas, and Penny Fields of Cedar Rapids; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his mother and father in law, Elsie & Marlin Weir of Kirkville, Iowa; an aunt; and several cousins.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents; and a sister, Barbara Whaley.

Military honors followed by a time of fellowship will be held Sunday, November 22, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the V.F.W. in Oskaloosa.
Visitation with the family will be at the V.F.W. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2015 to greet friends and relatives. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
