WE ARE CONFERENCE CHAMPS! Great job EBF. This match tonight was so important to win for the rights to claim the conference out-right. Even though going into the match beating them at the Ottumwa Tournament a few weeks ago, it is always tough going to play any match in Bloomfield. The atmosphere is not one to our advantage making it mentally tough to play. DC played really well against our strong hitting. They dug up many balls and got a lot of touches from the block. We fought hard for the win. I am proud of how we did not fold to the pressure. We went 1 point at a time and stayed focused. At times we just made too many mistakes either with serving or hitting. Our passing was good, just executing and terminating the hit or closing the block gave us some trouble tonight. By the 3rd set we improved in those areas. We will continue to work hard at practice to get better in those areas. The 3rd game I think we wore DC down and the intensity level dropped allowing us to take total control of the 3rd set. Great job Rockets. The Rockets have been SCC Champs for the past 8 years in a row. The tradition continues. We will be traveling to Mediapolis on Thursday for a great tournament to end our regular season.
