Carol Anne Briggs, 58, of Oskaloosa, was welcomed home by Jesus, Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Carol Anne was born Friday, April 26, 1957, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of George and Dolores Hill Kinder.

Carol Anne attended school in Lansing, Michigan. Following school, she went to work as the catering director at the Sheridan and Holiday Inn in Lansing and later worked at New Hope in Oskaloosa.

Carol Anne spent most of her working life caring for her family and home schooling her children. On July 8, 1994, Carol Anne was united in marriage to Eric Briggs in Rapid City, South Dakota.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was very involved in the children’s ministry at Omega Church in Oskaloosa.

Her family includes her husband, Eric Briggs of Oskaloosa; a son, Jesse (& Kendra) Briggs of Oskaloosa; a daughter, Shelby Briggs of Oskaloosa; a grandson, Kyler Foster of Oskaloosa; four brothers: Chuck (& Fabiola) Kinder of Laguna Beach, California, Rick Kinder of Dana Point, California, Jim (& Rosie) Kinder of Lansing, Michigan, and Tom (& Camala) Kinder of Lansing, Michigan; three sisters: Phyllis (& Mike) Costello of Lansing, Michigan, Lisa (& Brian) Nowak of San Clemente, California, and Cindy Preston of San Clemente, California; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Omega Church in Oskaloosa at 6:30 P.M. with Reverend David Brown officiating.
As was her wish, Carol Anne’s body has been cremated.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Eric Briggs, for the benefit of Shelby and Jesse Briggs, at TruBank in Oskaloosa. An account has been set up by the family.
