Highest MRPI Ranking Ever for Men; Women Looking to Move Up
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s soccer team is proving to be a real contender nationally, while the women are pushing for more respect as the NAIA’s first Modified Ratings Percentage Indexes were released Wednesday.
The men (7-3-1, 4-0 Heart) are ranked 47th out of 192 teams with a mark of .436588, while the women (5-4, 2-2 Heart) are 142nd of 191 teams at .305085. The position is the highest for the men’s team since the NAIA started the MRPI two years ago (previous high #48).
The men are ranked fourth among Heart of America Athletic Conference programs, while Rio Grande (Ohio) tops the rating at .897569. Vanguard (Calif.), Davenport (Mich.), Northwestern Ohio, and Corban (Ore.) round out the top five.

Mobile (Ala.) is the top women’s squad at .902581, while Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), Northwestern Ohio, Benedictine (Kan.) of the Heart, and Grace (Ind.) finish off the top five.
