MCRF will host a Lacey Fall Fest Fundraiser at the the baseball 5-plex on October 10th from 11 AM until 3 PM. This week’s United Way’s Day of Caring brought seven Bank Iowa volunteers to help get started with some of the decorations for the big event. Bank Iowa volunteers were busy creating colorful fall decor to bring a fabulous festival feel throughout. Some of the things planned for the event will include a variety of kids carnival games, full pumpkin patch and pumpkin painting, balloons, obstacle course or scavenger hunt, grilled hot dogs, hot chocolate/hot apple cider, popcorn and treats bake sale, electric tram rides, and lots more fun!! Each of the 5 baseball fields at the 5-plex will have kids activities such as on one field 200 pumpkins, compliments of B&B Bedding, will be placed on a field & kids can go pick a pumpkin from the “pumpkin patch” and take inside to paint. Another field will host over 20 carnival games compliments of Mahaska Drug. MCRF is busy planning an obstacle course for another field and building scarecrows for photo ops! Volunteer drivers will be on hand to drive riders in electric trams for a mini trail tour by the pond. A great day of festival and fun is planned so plan to join us on October 10th, 11AM to 3PM. For more information or to get involved in this community event call MCRF at 672-2499.
