Have you found your “Right Tribe”

Blue Zones’ Power 9! Your bodies are fit. Your tummies are toned. Let’s work on your inner being. Coffee Break Bible studies are a great way to work on four of the nine Blue Zones Principles namely: Purpose, Down Shift, Belong (to a faith based community), and Right Tribe.

Two opportunities for women and children to participate in Coffee Break are offered at First Christian Reformed Church, 815 North 11th St. in Oskaloosa, by Forest Cemetery. Tuesday Evening Coffee Break & Story Hour will begin their season September 15 with a picnic at the church from 5:45 – 7:15 pm. It will be a great way to visit with women of all ages from the community and a fun time for their children as well. Classes will continue weekly at the First Christian Reformed Church with a study called MAKING PEACE WITH YOUR EMOTIONS—Living Life to the fullest from the Women of Faith Series. An evening meal, Story Hour and child care are offered each week. Call Deb at 673-3048 or Dena at 672-2604 for more information.

The Thursday morning class begins September 10 with a time of fellowship and coffee in the fellowship hall and few words by Pastor Visser. September 17 the group plans to attend the Draw Me Close Retreat sponsored by the Bible League International Volunteers. That event will be held at Third Reformed Church in Pella. The regular Thursday morning Coffee Break Bible study will start on September 24 with the book of Acts. The group meets weekly from 9:30 am to 11 am at the church. Story Hour is offered 1st & 3rd weeks. Contact the church office at 641-673-4272 or Gloria at 673-8913 for more information.

Coffee Break is a women’s non-denominational Bible Study. Story Hour is a time for children to enjoy Bible stories and crafts. You are welcome to join either group any time. What a great way to take care of your whole self!
