Oskaloosa Homecoming week is set for September 14th – 18th. This year’s theme is “H15tory in the Making.” The Homecoming parade will be on Thursday, September 17th beginning at 6:30 pm. If your organization is interested in being a part of the parade either by having a float or walking or driving to represent, please contact Mrs. Gile at the high school for more information at 673-3407.

Please note the changed parade route this year due to the road closures. The parade route will start at High Avenue and Third Avenue East, will travel west and turn south on Market, turn west onto First Avenue West, turn south on South A, again west on Second Avenue West, and end in the MCG parking lot. This will be where parents can pick up their children that participated in the parade.

The schedule for homecoming week is as follows:

Monday, September 14th–Powder Puff Football will follow the Oskaloosa JV football game at Lacey Stadium. Come out and watch the senior girls play some flag football after cheering on our JV team.

Tuesday, September 15th—Head to Edmundson Park to support Oskaloosa’s Cross Country Teams as they host their invitational. It will start at 4:30. Then head to the gym to watch our volleyball teams take on Newton. The senior boys and their Powder Puff Volleyball games will follow the varsity game. Go cheer on your Indians!

Thursday–Homecoming parade around the square starting at 6:30. After the parade, head to Community Stadium to see the choir sing, hear the band play, and see the crowning of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen.

Friday–Varsity football game will begin at 7:30 pm against the Eagles of Saydel. Go Indians!
