OSKALOOSA, IA — A brand new professional season kicks off at the George Daily Auditorium on Monday, September 14 with an unusual show called Artrageous!

Called “the BEST!” by Harrison Ford, Artrageous! is an entirely unique, unparalleled professional performance. Bubble wrap, black lights, live music, dance, art, and paint everywhere – Artrageous! is as dazzling and unexpected as something from the Blue Man Group. A troupe of artists, singers, musicians, and dancers play old favorites like Journey, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, and John Lennon while paint jumps to life on stage.

The rest of the season includes Hotel California, an Eagles tribute band, on November 18, the Tony-award winning musical Million Dollar Quartet on January 28, the sixteenth consecutive year of Missoula Children’s Theatre with Aladdin on February 20, and the classic children’s tale Peter Rabbit Tales on March 14. Get a season ticket that includes a seat to every one of these amazing shows at a 10% discount, or pick and chose your favorites.

“I think this season will appeal to a wide variety of people,” said Randall Wright, Executive Director of the George Daily. “These are shows that usually go to much bigger cities than Oskaloosa, but we have a community that is rich in support of the arts.”

Gear up for Artrageous! with a monthly Art Uncorked themed around their bright, splattered style at the Oskaloosa Art Center on Friday, September 11 from 6 – 8 p.m.! Gather at the Art Center with friends and a bottle of wine and create your own painting to take home with you. To register, email faceofmahaska@gmail.com.

Artrageous! runs 90 minutes with a short intermission. Tickets are $22 for adults and $10 for students. For tickets or more information about upcoming shows, contact the George Daily Auditorium by calling (641) 672-0799, visiting www.georgedaily.org, or stopping by the George Daily Auditorium office. This performance is sponsored by Clow Valve and FACE.
