Oskaloosa Indian’s love school pride and tradition. On August 21st, Indian fans filled the stadium stands at the Lacey Recreation Complex to continue a tradition that has been going on for many years. The Old Shoe Game kicked off at 4:45 p.m. and Mahaska Community Recreation Foundation set up on behalf of the Lacey Youth Fulfillment Committee to collect gently used sporting equipment and shoes for the Play it Forward program. In 2015, 109 items were donated and Lacey Youth Fulfillment is anxious to get the equipment in the hands of youth who have a passion for sports recreation. Equipment is available to the public during normal business hours at the MCRF office located at 2055 238th Street. If you have a passion for serving youth and would like to get involved on a committee please contact MCRF at 641-672-2499.
