BLAKE JOINS MIDWESTONE INSURANCE

(OSKALOOSA, Iowa, July 24, 2015) – MidWestOne Insurance Services announced the hiring of Billy Blake. Blake is a Commercial Insurance Agent and Oskaloosa native. He was previously the Director of the Big M Agency in Grinnell, an in-house agency for Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company.

“I love finally working in my home community. I’m excited that my customers are the businesses that I utilize – the restaurants that I eat at, the stores that I shop in,” said Blake. “I’ve built relationships with people and businesses throughout my life here and now I get to help protect their livelihood.”

Blake graduated from Oskaloosa High School and the University of Iowa, and currently resides in Oskaloosa with his wife, Ariann, and 8-year-old daughter, Emerson.

Blake will work closely with long-time agent, Ed Butler, who will be retiring at the end of the year. “No one can replace Ed Butler and his 40 years of experience, but we know that Billy is up to the challenge,” added Margaret Ratcliff, President of MidWestOne Insurance Services.
