Pauline B. Rozenboom, 95, of Oskaloosa, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Pauline was born Sunday January 25, 1920, in Mahaska County, the daughter of Elmer Odem and Blanche Pearson Odem.

Pauline graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1937. In 1936 Pauline was united in marriage to Raymond Rozenboom. To this union one son, Gary, was born.

During her working career Pauline owned and operated Rozenboom Decorating Center. She retired and sold the business to her son Gary in 1987.

Pauline enjoyed all sports, including golfing and bowling. She was a member of 50+ Moose Women and 50+ Eastern Star.

Her family includes her son, Gary (& Janet) Rozenboom of Oskaloosa; two granddaughters: Lisa Meiler and Teresa Orton; four great grandchildren: Austin McCleery, Hyden, Anna and Eric Meiler ; and 3 sisters: Elsie Gass of Des Moines, Ethel Baker of Batesville, Arkansas and Retha (& William) Van Hulzen of Zion, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Scott Rozenboom; a great grandson, Quinn McCleery; and 3 brothers: Ernest, Harold and Dale Oden.

As was Pauline’s wish her body has been cremated.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Tioga Cemetery at a later date.
No visitation is planned at this time. Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
