Oskaloosa’s Ramirez Places Third At National Competition

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Vincent Ramirez, 14, is just back from a week of heavy competition, where his hard work from weight-lifting and crossfit training helped him achieve a third place finish at the Reebok CrossFit Games at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California.

Ramirez said that there has been lots of training, and being dedicated to that training and the hours it takes to achieve your goal are all things needed to achieve your goal. “You have to love it,” said Ramirez.

Ramirez is also a national champion in the 14 year-old division after a competition in Minnesota last month.

The hopes for Ramirez is to, at some point, make it to the USA Olympics Team, and there is some interest in the team towards Ramirez. The hope is to have Ramirez represent the USA in upcoming events.
