The word Student came way before Athlete for the #4 story from the 2014-2015 year.

Many Statesmen excelled in academic rigor, receiving accolades for their hard work. Over 20 William Penn student-athletes notched NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition (juniors and above with GPAs of 3.5 and higher) this past school session.

Senior softball player Brittanee Grove led the impressive faction of individuals who were wonderful on and off the field of play as she was named a College Division Academic All-American by CoSIDA. Senior football player Evan Ressler was also a College Division Academic All-District selection.

WPU managed 85 academic all-conference recipients as well (varsity athletes with GPAs of 3.2 and higher).

#4 Performance of the 2014-2015 Year

Janay Pritchett was a threat to light up the scoreboard every time out, but on the road in late January she really poured it on as she receives the #4 position on the 2014-2015 performance list.

The senior guard, who later earned first-team all-Midwest Collegiate Conference recognition, scored 34 points against St. Ambrose. In a game in which she became a member of the 1,000-Point Club, Pritchett hit six three-pointers. She was 12-for-22 from the field, had four steals, assisted three times, and pulled down three rebounds.

For the year, Pritchett averaged 16.5 points per outing.

#4 Video of the 2014-2015 Year

Freshman cross country and track and field athlete Tyler Connelly was all decked out last fall to earn the unofficial Best Dressed Video honor and #4 on the 2014-2015 video list.

While many sit down in the ‘hot seat’ with normal attire or lounge wear, Connelly gets props for bringing his Sunday Best!
