Fishing in Canoes

at the Russell Wildlife Area

July 21, 2015

6:30 – 8:00 pm

Come out to the Russell Wildlife Area and try a new twist on fishing – from a canoe! We will meet at the conservation center then go to one of the ponds at the park. Participants will receive canoeing and fishing instructions and a safety talk before going out on the water. Fishing licenses will be needed for anyone 16 and older. Canoes, paddles, life jackets, fishing equipment and bait will be available to use. Please sign up for this event by calling MCCB at (641)673-9327.

The Russell Wildlife Area is located at 2254 – 200th St. which is 4 miles north of Oskaloosa on Hwy. 63 and one mile east on 200th Street. If the weather is questionable for that evening, call the MCCB office before 4:30 pm or watch the Mahaska County Conservation Facebook page for updates.
