WPU Tallies 77 Academic All-MCC Honorees

Oskaloosa–The Midwest Collegiate Conference announced its academic all-conference honors for the 2014-2015 year.

A total of 807 student-athletes from the league’s seven schools were honored in 15 sports, including a number of student-athletes receiving academic honors in multiple sports.

William Penn had 77 award recipients, led by nine from both the men’s track and field and softball teams. Individually, 43 student-athletes from within the conference owned a 4.0 Grade Point Average, including freshman cross country and track and field athlete Zach Johnson (Decatur, Ill., Mechanical Engineering) and junior baseball player Steven Sattz (Pickering, Ontario, Physical Education).

To be eligible for the award, honorees must have completed at least two consecutive terms at their current institution, have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA, and play in at least one varsity competition.
