Summer day camps are some of the fun activities held by the Mahaska County Conservation Board this summer – are your kids signed up? June 16-18 DISCOVERY CAMP
Ages 5 & younger
10:00 am – Noon
$10/camper
Parents encouraged to attend.
Kids will participate in indoor and outdoor activities to explore land, sky and water. Doesn’t searching for fossils, planting flowers, making binoculars, flying kites, dipping nets in to a pond, decorating t-shirts and playing in water sound fun?

June 30 – July 2 JR. NATURALIST CAMP
Ages 6-12
10:00 am – 2:00 pm
$20/camper
Campers will learn about nature around us, especially the food chair, predators and prey. The Blank Park Zoo will be bringing some “predator/prey” animals for us to see. Campers will also test their skills in archery, go on hikes, decorate t-shirts at this camp.

July 7-9 CHALLENGE CAMP
Ages 10 and older
10:00 – 2:00 pm
$20/camper
The camp theme will be “Kids vs. Wild”. Campers will experience many outdoor activities: fishing, bowfishing, hiking, archery, exploring the Russell Wildlife Area river bottom, and more!
