Summer Concerts in the Square
The Oskaloosa City Band rehearsed on Monday in preparation for the start of the 2015 season, which gets underway on Thursday evening.
The Oskaloosa City Band is pleased to announce the 2015 concert series begins Thursday, June 4 on the square. Each Thursday evening throughout the summer, the band, under the direction of Bruce Peiffer, will perform on the bandstand at 8 p.m. In the unfortunate event of inclement weather, the concert will be postponed to the following week.
This week, Andrea Dursky helps kick off the summer with “June is Bustin’ Out All Over” and “Highlights from The Little Mermaid”. The band will also play traditional marches and overtures, along with some more contemporary pieces, sure to please audience members of all ages.
Bring your comfortable lawn chair, blankets, friends and neighbors to spend the evening on Oskaloosa’s historic square. Snacks and drinks will be provided by TruBank (popcorn), SnoBiz (snow cones), and Hawkeye Real Estate (lemonade).

This Thursday night, The Oskaloosa Municipal Band kicks off their summer 2015 season at 8:00 p.m. They perform every Thursday evening during the summer months (June-August).
