Emerson Notches Scholar-Athlete Honor
Oskaloosa–Matt Emerson (Sr., Saugus, Calif., Business Management) was honored for his excellence in the classroom as he was named a 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athlete Thursday.
Emerson, a first-time honoree, owned a 3.80 Grade Point Average entering this spring. He was among a list of 354 baseball athletes from within the NAIA to be awarded the laurel.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic
