Learning the history and technique needed to make rope was just part of the recent visit by the American Rope Makers Guild to Nelson Pioneer Farm.

Take a string and tie it around your finger to remember that KNOTS, LOOPS AND OTHER TWISTED CRAFTS will be at NELSON PIONEER FARM AND MUSEUM in OSKALOOSA, this Saturday, June 6, 2015 from noon to 4 pm. Try your hand at making a rope or playing Cat’s cradle. Learn to tie a knot and watch a rug being braided. Lots more to do and see. Admission applies, $7.00 adult, $2.00 under 15 and Mahaska County Historical Society Members are FREE.
