Mahaska County Attorney Resigns To Take New Position
Oskaloosa, Iowa – On Friday morning, the Mahaska County Supervisors accepted the resignation of Mahaska County Attorney Amy Zenor.
Zenor’s last day in Mahaska County will be May 29th, before taking a position in the county attorney’s office in Clay County.
Zenor was elected to office in November, replacing interim County Attorney Charles Stream.
“This was a difficult decision for me to make,” said Zenor to the Board. “What it really came down to was being closer to my family.”
Zenor said that she looks forward to working in the county that she grew up in. “I want you all to know how much I appreciate everything you have done for me.” Zenor told the board.
The Mahaska County Board of Supervisors then moved to advertise the position for an interim county attorney until the next county election. Applications for that position will be accepted until noon on May 22nd.
