Finger Eleven is second act in NAPA Auto Parts Concert Series

NEWTON, Iowa (March 31, 2015) – Alternative Rock band Finger Eleven will bring June 19 to a crescendo when they take over the Pork Producers-sponsored stage for the second installment of the NAPA Auto Parts Concert Series at Iowa Speedway. Known for their hits “Paralyzer” and “One Thing”, the band will perform following the 2015 edition of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series American Ethanol 200.

Finger Eleven has forged their own artistic path in an industry built predominantly on formula. The band has mixed elements of modern rock, funk and dance, maintaining an unmistakable identity while constantly reinventing their sound.

“Finger Eleven is a great addition to our exciting line-up of entertainment this summer,” said Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small. “Our fans have told us how much they love rock music, and we are certain that Finger Eleven will deliver a performance worthy of their passion.”

The band launched their career after winning a talent search contest on local radio and used the prize money to record their first album, Letters from Chutney, in 1995. Finger Eleven has released five studio albums, and their 2000 album, The Greyest of Blue Skies, brought them into the mainstream. Their 2003 self-titled album was certified gold in the United States and went platinum in Canada, largely from the success of their single “One Thing.”

Finger Eleven’s 2007 album, Them vs. You vs. Me, launched the single “Paralyzer” and went on to top the Canadian Hot 100 and both U.S. Hot 100 and Billboard’s rock charts. Not to be outdone, their latest album, Life Turns Electric, was nominated for a Juno Award for Best Rock Album of the Year in 2010. Finger Eleven is poised to release their highly anticipated sixth studio album this summer.

Finger Eleven will hit the Pork Producers-sponsored stage, overlooking Turn 4, approximately one hour after the conclusion of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series American Ethanol 200 on June 19. The concert will be free-of-charge to fans with a ticket to Iowa Speedway for June 19 or June 20.

In addition to the pairing of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series American Ethanol 200 with Finger Eleven, Iowa Speedway and Knoxville Raceway have teamed up for a double-header on June 20. Fans who purchase a ticket to the USAC Silver Crown Series™ event at Iowa Speedway may redeem their ticket later that day for entry to an exciting night of racing at Knoxville Raceway.
