Cleo W. Molyneux

Oskaloosa. Cleo W. Molyneux, 92, of Oskaloosa died Sunday, November 21, 2010, at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. He was born February 13, 1918, at Thornburg, Iowa, the son of Albert and Agnes Warnock Molyneux. Following school he continued helping on the family farm. On September 5, 1943, he was united in marriage to Icel Daugherty at Beacon, Iowa. Following their marriage they farmed in the Rose Hill and What Cheer areas. In 1978, they retired and moved into Oskaloosa. He loved riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, boating and camping. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Oskaloosa for 30 years and a Social Member of the Oskaloosa American Legion Post 34.

His family includes his wife of over 67years, Icel Molynuex of Oskaloosa; a daughter: Pat Francisco of Iowa City; two grandchildren: Nicholas (& Sacha) Francisco and Natalie (& Peter) Miller; two brothers: Don (& LaVerne) Molyneux of Thiensville, Wisconsin and Marvin (& Betty) Molyneux of Oskaloosa; a sister: Wilma Hudson of Oskaloosa; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Cleo was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Kenneth Molyneux; and a sister: Betty Luers.

Funeral services for Cleo Molyneux will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Andrea Brownlee officiating. Burial will be in the Indianapolis Cemetery near What Cheer. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Tuesday after 11 a.m. and the family will be at the Bates Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening from 5-7 to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Mahaska Hospice.
