Deadline approaching for OACDG scholarships

The deadline is fast approaching for Mahaska County high school seniors to submit applications for college scholarships. The Oskaloosa Area Chamber is heading up the campaign to raise funds to provide several scholarships of up to $1,000 each.

Students should contact their school counselors, visit www.oacdg.org, or stop at the Chamber, 124 North Market in Oskaloosa to begin the application process. Applications are due Tuesday, April 14. Call 641.672.2591 or email dbruxvoort@oacdg.org.

Many area businesses will provide money for these scholarships. That money as well as money raised at the OACDG Scholarship Golf Tournament will be spread throughout Mahaska County students. If you are a business or individual interested in recognizing an outstanding student and lending assistance to them to further their education, you are encouraged to contact the Chamber immediately.
