Alice Grace Malloy, 91, of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, February 21, 2015, in the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa. She was born Wednesday, October 31, 1923, in University Park, the daughter of William Albert and Elizabeth Julia Leighty Wilson.

Alice graduated from the Harvey High School with the class of 1940. On June 22, 1940, Alice was united in marriage to Orville W. Malloy in Lancaster, Missouri. Orville died June 23, 1997.

Early on, Alice worked at Pella Rolscreen Company. Later, Orville and Alice worked at the YMCA Boys Home in Johnston, and at the Annie Wittenmyer House in Davenport. She then worked in Centerville at McGraw Edison for a while, and lastly at Radiant Electric Heat Company (REHCO).

Alice was a member of the Methodist Church in Harvey when she was younger, and of the Royal Neighbors.

Her family includes her two daughters: Nancy (& Clyde) Doty of Oskaloosa and Virginia Paulson of University Park; seven grandchildren: John (& Debbie) Doty, Barry Doty, Jennefer (& Nathan) Tillotson, Adam (& Anna) Doty, Veronica (& Kirk) Montgomery, Thomas Paulson and Larry Hudson; thirteen great grandchildren: Sarah, Shannon, Micah, Justin, Michael, Christopher, Aaron, Zachery, Chaley, Jake, Ben, Bartley and Jessica; twelve great great grandchildren: Charity, Hunter, LeighAnn, LaDonna, Keagan, Zaylee, Levi, Paisley, Magnus, Aubrey, Dane and Jade Lynn.

Besides her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Shirley Lanphier; and a brother, Willy Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating.
Burial will be in the Eureka Cemetery at Harvey.
Visitation will begin at the Bates Funeral Chapel on Wednesday after 12 noon, and the family will be at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. to greet friends and relatives.
