Reference: Execution of search warrant at 404 East 3 Street in Pella, IA

On February 15, 2015 at approximately 4:25 p.m. members of the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task

Force along with the assistance of the Pella Police Department executed a drug search warrant at 404 East 3rd St in Pella where multiple marijuana plants and manufacturing materials were seized along with drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the search warrant 1 individual was taken to the Marion County Jail on drug charges awaiting initial appearance. Jason McDaniel age 38 of that address was charged with manufacturing

marijuana, fail to affix a drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Manufacturing marijuana and failing to affix a drug tax stamp are both class “D” felonies and possession of drug paraphernalia is a simple misdemeanor.

The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force is based in Des Moines and currently has 16 central Iowa agencies participating in the task force including the Jasper, Mahaska and Marion County Sheriffs Offices, Knoxville, Newton, and Pella Police Departments.

AS WITH ANY CRIMINAL CASE, A CHARGE IS MERELY AN ACCUSATION AND A DEFENDANT IS PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILT.
