Stop N See Us as Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Mahaska County offers monthly Family Friendly Workshops. Anyone interested in the topic is encouraged to attend. February 19 topic is creative composting. The workshop is geared to families who garden or who are hoping to garden or are new to composting. There will be activities for kids. And information about the What and Whys of composting, as well as kinds of composing, methods, and the needed equipment and ingredients. We will be sharing ISU Extension and Outreach publications as well as giving our families some compost activities then can to do at home.

The workshops will be held the third Thursday evening of each month 6-7 pm at the Mahaska County Extension Office. Cost is FREE and the workshops are open to the public. RSVP is requested by Monday of each workshop week.
