YMCA Dolphins Host Final Meet For The Season

The Mahaska County YMCA Dolphins hosted their last meet of the season and it was their last regular season meet of the year as well. The Dolphins showed notice that it was their pool and they were ready for this meet by earning 52 first place finishes during the day and another 45 top 3 finishes. Regardless of the competition that they were facing the one thing that you can not take away from them was that they are continuing to work hard to get better as they had another 61 personal best times during the meet. Of course to keep up with tradition on the last home meet the swimmers also got to push the coaches into the pool when everything was over and have some free time enjoying the pool and getting to spend some extra time with their swim family.

This group of swimmers is showing that they are ready for sectionals next week, February 15th, at the new YMCA in Indianola. They will have to swim state qualifying times here in order to make it to the State Swim Meet, in Marshalltown, on March 7th for the girls and March 8th for the Boys. Good Luck, Ryan Harkema, as the swimmers, coaches, parent board and all the other family members will miss you for everything that you have done for the Dolphins!!!
