Training Camp to Include Community Appearances

DES MOINES – During their two-week training camp, Iowa Barnstormers players will not only work to earn their spot on the team’s final roster, but also participate in a variety of public events within the Pella area.

With practices well underway, Iowa Barnstormers players and coaches will add to their training camp experience by becoming involved with area communities and businesses. Meet & greet-style appearances are a great way to meet new players while supporting the Iowa Barnstormers and local businesses. Opportunity for autographs and photographs will be available at each event. The following is a complete list of public community events:

Tuesday, February 10
The Rib Shack – Knoxville, Iowa
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Friday, February 13, 2015
Sports Page Bar and Grill – Pella, Iowa
5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 14, 2015
Subway – Pella, Iowa (2 locations)
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Monday, February 16, 2015
Pizza Ranch – Pella Iowa
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, February 18, 2015
Arby’s – Pella, Iowa
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

During the Iowa Barnstormers first week of training camp, players and coaches will also be serving the community by partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Marion County. The team will assist the interior construction of a Habitat home in Knoxville throughout the week. These events are not open to the public.
