Rhonda Kelly, 51, of Oskaloosa passed away, Thursday afternoon, December 4, 2014, at the MHP Hospice Services Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Rhonda Denine Kelly, daughter of Donald J. and Florence Helen (Greenlee) Kelly, was born September 7, 1963, in Danville, Illinois.

Rhonda attended school in Davenport, where she eventually earned her G.E.D. In 1992, Rhonda and her mother moved to Oskaloosa and in 1997, she moved to Country Life Health Care. She remained at Country Life until September 2001, at which time she became a resident of the Edmundson Drive group home of Imagine the Possibilities.

Since 1996, Rhonda has worked with the Christian Opportunity Center in Oskaloosa doing packaging, mailings and building mouse traps.

Rhonda enjoyed watching movies, reading, word searches, coloring, visiting with friends, trips to Des Moines, attending dances and listening to Elvis music.

Rhonda will be remembered as a cheerful, outgoing person, a friend to all. She will be missed greatly by her family, friends, housemates and caregivers.

Rhonda’s family includes her sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Scott Stedman of Ravenna, OH; a niece, Danielle (& Jason) Fishel of Tallmadge, OH; a nephew, Scott (& Laura) Stedman of Cortland, OH; and aunt, Irene Vincent of Chariton, Iowa; an uncle, Donald (& Joyce) Greenlee of Humeston, IA; several cousins; a great niece; and two great nephews.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services for Rhonda will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 8, 2014, at the Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Mr. Jeffrey Morris of Imagine the Possibilities officiating.
Burial will be in University Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Sunday; the family will greet visitors from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to MHP Hospice Services Serenity House.
