The weather outside may be frightful, but the fun inside is delightful at the Winter Tales program at the Russell Wildlife Area! Join the Mahaska County Conservation Board on Saturday, December 6 from 9:00-10:30 am in a winter program that will be fun for the whole family. Naturalist, Laura DeCook will tell and read stories about animals in the winter. Afterwards, participants will decorate cookies to eat and visit with a jolly visitor from the North Pole – Santa Claus!

The Russell Wildlife Area is located at 2254 – 200th Street, New Sharon, which is four miles north of Oskaloosa on Hwy. 63 and one mile east on 200th Street. If you have questions, please call the Mahaska County Conservation Board at (641)673-9327.
