PELLA—Central College senior Daniel Page (Tumwater, Wash.) retained the No. 6 spot at 125 pounds in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III rankings.

Page opened the 2014 campaign with a 3-2 outing at the Harold Nichols Open in Ames November 8. Two of Page’s three wins came on second-period falls. The meet, hosted by I Iowa State University, featured many athletes from larger schools. Nine of the 30 wrestlers in the 125-pound bracket were on Division I rosters.

A two-time NCAA Division III tournament qualifier, Page is the only Iowa Conference wrestler ranked at 125 pounds. Page is one of 14 league wrestlers ranked overall.

Four conference schools are in the team rankings. Coe leads the way at No. 5, with Luther close behind at No. 8. Defending national champion Wartburg is at No. 10 and Loras sits at No. 15. Other ranked Central Region teams include Cornell at No. 22 and Augustana (Ill.) at No. 27.

The Dutch make their home-season debut Thursday, hosting Coe in a dual. Start time is 7 p.m. at P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
