Kaye Lee (Washburn) Helleur, 68, of Centerville and formerly Oskaloosa, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, surrounded by her loving family. Kaye Lee, the daughter of Hugh and Kaye Craig Washburn was born September 24, 1946, in Centerville, Iowa.

Lee attended and graduated from Centerville Schools. After graduating in 1964, she married the love of her life, William Henry Helleur III, on October 10th, 1964.

Lee was an avid porcelain doll collector over the years and enjoyed sharing her talents of knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching and working in ceramics. Holiday and family celebrations were a favorite time for Lee, as spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, was her passion.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty years, Bill; her children: Deborah Suzanne (& Rod) Richards of Oskaloosa, Amy Jo (& Kevin) Yardley of Ottumwa, Micheal Todd (& Brandi) Helleur of Oskaloosa and Cari Lee (& Don) Hubbard of Oskaloosa; her grandchildren: Dennis and Bridgette Richards, Zandra (& Jeremiah Fry) Stock and Nikki Stock, Anthony Fridley and Carson Helleur, Tyler(& Dakota), Brady, Andrew and Kyle Silvers; one great-grandson, Aden Silvers; step-great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Donavon and Erin Fry. She will be greatly missed by her sisters: Lorie (& Gary Wade) Demry of Illinois, Lynn (& Dennis) Cronk of Florida, and half-sister, Helen (& Jim Dobson) Washburn of North Carolina. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Dennis (& Helen) Helleur of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Bill and Betty Helleur.

Funeral service for Lee will be held Monday, September 29, at 10:00 am at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville.
Inurnment will be at White Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, September 28th from 3:00-5:00 pm at Thomas Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
