Oskaloosa Indians

Oskaloosa, Iowa – It is that time of the year again. Students are settling back into the swing of things at school while fall sports are beginning their seasons. The weather will be cooling down, but our football team is just warming up as we prepare to “Dodge the Chargers.” Homecoming week, September 22nd through the 26th is almost around the corner. The Oskaloosa High School Student Council hopes everyone can partake in the homecoming week festivities this year.

The senior girls will kick the week off on Monday night (September 22) out at Lacey stadium for Powder Puff Football around 8:00 pm once the JV Football game is finished. Tuesday night (September 23) is guaranteed to be a night full of fun as the senior boys take on Powder Puff Volleyball in the Oskaloosa High School gym following the varsity volleyball game which will be around 8:15 pm.

The beloved homecoming parade will continue the fun-filled week on Thursday, September 25th as it kicks off at 6:30 pm with Coronation to follow at the community stadium. We all hope you can join us at the parade for a night full of fun while viewing the community’s awesome floats and watching our new Homecoming King and Queen be crowned. To close the week, we can all watch some good old Indian Football on Friday, September 26th. The freshman game begins at 4:45 pm with varsity to follow at 7:30 pm. Come cheer on the Indians as they face the Chariton Chargers. The homecoming dance for the high school students will follow the game and be from 9 pm to midnight in the Oskaloosa High School gym.

The Oskaloosa High School Student Council significantly appreciates all of the continued support we receive from the community. Without your support and contributions, we would not be able to put on a lot of the events we do. A big thank-you to all of our supporters within our great community. We all hope you can partake in a busy, fun homecoming week as we “Dodge the Chargers.” Go Indians!
