Two Vehicle Accident Claims Life Of Area Woman

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Emergency responders were called to a two vehicle accident at 7:19 pm Wednesday, located at 1856 Highway 163.

According to a preliminary crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, vehicle 1, a 2005 Chevy Impala, driven by 51-year-old Robin Ann Vos of Oskaloosa, failed to yield from a private drive on Highway 163 and struck a second vehicle.

The second vehicle, a 2003 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by 27-year-old Bradley Allen Nelson of Allison, Iowa.

Vos was transported to Mahaska Health Partnership by MHP Emergency Services.

According to the crash report, Vos was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The Mahaska County Sheriffs Office, Oskaloosa Fire Department and Mahaska Health Partnership Emergency Services assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol and Mahaska County Sheriffs Office.
