Double-Digit All-League Honorees in Outdoor Track and Field
Oskaloosa–William Penn collected a total of 15 laurels as the outdoor track and field all-Midwest Collegiate Conference honors were announced Thursday.
All-MCC awards were given to all athletes who finished in the top three in individual events at the championships and in the top two in a relay event. Honorable-mention awards also went to any other athletes who met the NAIA’s qualifying standard who were not already named all-MCC in their event.
MCC Male Track Athlete of the Year Alex Edwards (Jr., Knoxville, Iowa, Secondary Education) topped WPU with three honors. He was first in both the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run and was a member of the 4×400-meter relay team that finished second. Joining him on that relay squad were Stepfon Williams (So., St. Louis, Mo., Industrial Technology), Cornelius McCastle (Fr., McKinney, Texas, Industrial Technology), and John Roudabush (Jr., Brooklyn, Iowa, Physical Education).
