Mahaska Young Professionals Kickoff – June 5th 5-7pm
Social gathering opportunity to connect with young professionals in the area
Oskaloosa, Iowa – June 2nd, 2014 – MYP invites all young professionals in Mahaska County to help us kick off the summer by participating in our first social gathering ever! The event will take place at On the Green on Thursday, June 5th, from 5:00-7:00PM.
This event will provide community members the opportunity to learn more about Mahaska Young Professionals, how you can get involved, and what other upcoming events are going on throughout the summer.
“We wanted to create a way for young professionals to come together with people that have similar goals. There are folks who want to meet other people, get connected in Mahaska County through things like volunteering, and grow professionally, and now they have a way to do that” says MYP Organizing Committee member Amy Langdon.
The group’s mission is to help young professionals connect, invest and thrive in the Mahaska community while encouraging an environment full of social, charitable and professional opportunities. Professionals in their 20s to mid-40s in various industries are welcomed and encouraged to attend this event.
Mahaska Young Professionals also hope to benefit local businesses by aiding recruitment, retention and leadership for this particular demographic throughout our community.
