The Oskaloosa Lady Indian Soccer team played their “senior night” game against Washington Friday May 23rd. The game ended in a 3-0 victory for the Lady Indians. The team has 4 seniors that were honored by the team pre-game. Hugs and gifts were given and parents were present to walk their player onto the field. The night also recognized youth soccer when all Mahaska County Soccer Club rec teams walked onto the stadium field at half-time. One youth mom, and first time visitor to a high school level soccer game, stated “What a fun game!” when watching with her 5 year old youth player. The Lady Indians had an impressive senior night for their 2nd to last seasonal game while 328 fans cheered the through the night. The team finished the season against Pella on Tuesday May 27th. Though the win went to Pella 4 – 1, the Lady Indians played a great game and finished proud. The first play-off game will be held at the stadium at Lacey Recreation Complex on Friday May 30th against Fort Madison. Good luck Indians!
