The Mahaska County Master Gardeners will be hosting a horticulture answer office hours called ‘Ask the Master Gardener’ every Tuesday from 9 -11 am. Starting June 3, local Master Gardeners will be present at the Mahaska County Extension and Outreach Office; 212 North I Street, Oskaloosa for you to stop by and bring your gardening questions or specimens for them to identify! Any of your burning questions can be addressed at this time! No appointments are necessary. Ask the Master Gardener office hours will also be available my telephone. You can reach a Master Gardener during the designated hours by calling 641-673-5841 and asking to speak with the Master Gardeners.

Plan on bringing in your insects, leaves, or plants to be identified, contacting the Master Gardeners via phone, or stop to see how you can become Master Gardener. Mahaska County will be offering Master Gardener training in the fall of 2014. Horticulture inquires may also be brought to the Mahaska County Extension office at other times.
