The Hanks’ Family Bible and the family of Nancy Hanks Lincoln will be the presentation at the Mahaska County Historical Society Quarterly Meeting on May 19th. Joy Conwell, Research Librarian at Iowa Wesleyan in Mt. Pleasant will share stories from Abraham Lincoln’s maternal ancestors.

The Quarterly meeting is held the 3rd Monday of February, May, August and November. It is open to the public. The meeting is follows a Pot Luck Supper; please bring a dish for twelve and your own service. This meeting will also include a short memorial service for the Society Members who passed away in 2013.

Join the Mahaska County Historical Society membership and guests at 6:30 pm on Monday Evening, May 19th in Bradbury Hall at the Nelson Pioneer Farm and Museum. The museum is located 2 miles east of Hwy 63 on the E. Glendale Road.
